Stockholms Slott or Kungliga Slottet is one of the largest castles in the world with amazing 605 rooms. The Swedish King uses this castle.
The castle is build from the rests of Tre Kronor, which was destroyed by a fire 1697. It took 57 years to rebuild it and since then it has been used by the royal family. A

Stadshuset- The city hall in Stockholm:
The city hall in Stockholm is not very old. The city hall took 12 years to build and was finished 1923. It is a beautiful building not far from the castle and the parliament, in Kungsholmen.
Stockholm's municipal council has sessions every second Monday in the city hall.
The honourable gala in the name of Alfred Nobel takes place the 10th of December every year.
The city hall has the symbol of Sweden Tre kronor (Three crowns) in the top. You can take the elevator or climb the 322 steps up to the tower and its symbol.
 The central station in Stockholm:
The central station in Stockholm is not only a centre for communication of modern form, it is also an historic attraction, where you can find everything you need.
It was built in the 19th century and the opening ceremony was 1871. You can book tickets for different types of transportation.
 Riksdagshuset (The Parliament):
The parliament in Sweden is located in "Helgeandsholmen". It is a beautiful building where you also can see the Swedish politicians.
The Swedish parliament consists of 349 members. These members are from 7 different parties and the election is every fourth year.
 Kaknästornet:
Are there sky scrapers in Stockholm?
Yes, Kaknästornet is one good example. It has a good design and suits the city very well.

Kaknästornet is placed in the north part of the beautiful Djurgården. The tower is 155 metres high. The tower has a terrace with an incredible view.

Teracom run their company from the tower. They supply TV and radio transmissions. This makes Kaknästornet a TV/Radio tower.
 Djurgården:

Djurgården is sometimes called The Lung of Stockholm or the Swedish corresponding for Central Park in New York. Djurgården is more beautiful and has more unspoiled nature than Central Park.

The sea is present and it is close to Skansen, Gröna Lund, Vasamuseet. Art, history and the nature makes Djurgården what it is today. A visit to Djurgården is to enjoy Stockholm in the best way.
 Kungsträdgården:
Kungsträdgården is an old royal park which dates back to the Middle Ages. The park is beautiful and situated in the centre of Stockholm - Norrmalm.
Kungsträdgården has always developed with fine results. Everyone likes the park and comes here to relax stressful days. You can come here to skate in the winter, just like the Rockefeller Centre in New York. The parks suits all ages all seasons.
 Sergels Torg:
Sergels Torg is a square in the centre of Stockholm, close to the central station in Norrmalm. Sergels Torg has a very common nickname "Plattan". There are many interesting attractions around the square.
Kulturhuset: Kulturhuset has a lot to offer culture interested.
Åhléns City: Good store just by the square.
Hötorget: : If you are interested in modern architecture you should come here to see five Scy scrapers called "Hötorgetskyskraporna".
Streets leading from, to or via Sergels Torg:

Sveavägen, Hamngatan and Klarabergsgatan (no pedestrian streets). Sergelsgatan and Beridarebangatan (pedestrian streets).

 Vasastaden:
Vasastaden is a common name for districts in entire Sweden, but the text below is of course Vasastaden in Stockholm. The district is surrounded by Norrmalm, Kungsholmen, Östermalm, Norra Djurgården and Solna kommun.
Vasastaden is a beautiful district in central Stockholm with many attractions nearby: Vasabron, Vasagatan, Odenplan with Gustaf Vasa Kyrkan (church) and Stadsbiblioteket (the city library).
Main roads in Vasastaden: Sveavägen, Odengatan, Karlbergsvägen and S:t Eriksgatan.
Areas worth a visit: Birkastaden, Röda bergen, Sibirien and Atlasbergen.
Other attractions in Vasastaden: Vasaparken, Odenplan, S.t Eriksplan, Observatoriet and Observatorielunden.
 Norrmalm:
Norrmalm is in the northern part of Stockholm inner city. Norrmalm is without doubts the absolute centre of Stockholm. The square in Norrmalm is called Norrmalmstorg.
Unfortunately some people still associate this square with "Norrmalmsdramat". Clark Olofsson robbed the former credit bank at the square. It is important to remember that this happened the summer 1973 and it has been peaceful since then.
The church Adolf Fredrik kyrkan is situated in Norrmalm, a beautiful church in beautiful surroundings. You can find many famous graves (actors and famous politicians). The church itself is definitely worth a visit.

Main roads in Norrmalm: Vasagatan and Sveavägen.
 Södermalm:
Södermalm is one of the most charming parts of Stockholm. Södermalm is often called just "Söder". You can find whatever you are looking for in Sweden here. You will also be surprised by the very special accent and the slang they use here.
 Östermalm:
Östermalm is an exclusive part of Stockholm. There are beautiful buildings and a lot of nature areas as Djurgården is a part of Östermalm.

Ladugårdsgärdet is a part of Östermalm even though Ladugårdsgärdet sometimes describes as one own section of the city. It is sometimes called Gärdet and it is quite different from the other sections of the city. The built-up area is not as compact as the others in the central Stockholm. There is plenty of green areas between the houses in Gärdet.

Other attractions in Östermalm: KTH (Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan), Hovstallet, Armémuseum, Historiska museet, Dramaten, Musikmuseet, Diplomatstaden (the residence for many foreign embassies), Stureplan, Kaknästornet, Humlegården with Kungliga Biblioteket and Östermalm Torg.
